Connections and Community

Dear friends,
Thank you for subscribing to my newsletter. I hope to use this platform to share news, events, volunteering opportunities, and to keep building our campaign!
Our Coalition
Since our successful kickoff, I’ve been focused on creating something stronger than a campaign; I’m building a coalition rooted in community and connection.
That means getting out into our towns, listening, and having real conversations. I’ve spent time in Harrington meeting with residents, small business owners, and community leaders to better understand what matters most to them. What I’ve heard is consistent: people want leadership that shows up, listens carefully, and works to bring people together to get stuff done.
Building a coalition isn’t about party labels. It’s about trust. It’s about relationships. And it’s about finding common ground so we can move forward together.
Town by town, conversation by conversation, that’s exactly what I’m doing.
A few weeks ago in one of those small towns, I met a small business owner who shared with me her frustrations over the inability to grow her quaint neighborhood restaurant. She had the customers, the ideas, and the drive, but limited access to funds kept her from expanding her offerings, replacing aging appliances, and introducing new menu items.
I listened. I showed up. And guess what? I helped her apply for an EDGE small business grant. My actions match my words. I didn’t just nod and move on.
Black History Month
I have also had the privilege of attending celebrations honoring Black Americans this month. Celebrating my dear friend, Reverend Rita Paige - a Living Legacy - was something special. She is most often recognized for leadership that blends faith with action. She encourages spiritual growth, community responsibility, and civic involvement. Her message frequently emphasizes participation, unity, and ensuring that every voice is heard in the democratic process. Does this resonate with you too?
As we celebrate community and connection, we can’t lose sight of the everyday challenges families are facing. Affordability remains top of mind, from grocery bills to energy costs.
I remain committed to finding practical solutions to ease that pressure so life is more affordable.
I remain committed to working across the aisle.
I remain committed to you.
Your enthusiasm, empowerment, and encouragement are what drive me! Let’s keep growing this so we can turn our energy into progress!

This campaign is about all of us, the people. Not politics. Let's build something better and let’s do it together!
I'm running for the 15th District Senate seat to build a better Delaware for everyone.
I always welcome your thoughts, concerns, or ideas.
In friendship,
Nisha
